Trott Raises More than $425,000 in 26 days

More than 270 individuals Contribute to Trott

COMMERCE, MI — Oakland County businessman Dave Trott today announced he has raised more than $425,000 since declaring his candidacy for Congress on September 4. His impressive fundraising total is paired with more than 120 local endorsements including state legislators, county commissioners, municipal officials, conservative leaders, and dozens of grassroots activists.

“I am extremely grateful for all the support from the district,” said Trott. “The momentum our campaign continues to enjoy reaffirms that voters are looking for a change in Michigan’s 11th Congressional district.”

Typically, the third quarter (from July 1 – September 30) is seen as a pivotal quarter in fundraising, and for Trott the quarter was only 26 days in length. With today’s announcement, Trott reported more than 270 individual donors. The $425,000 raised includes only personal contributions limited to $5200 per person.  The full report will be available online on October 15.

At the end of the last reporting period and for his primary opponent’s first six months in office, Trott’s primary opponent reported raising less than $130,000 and carried a debt of $111,907.91. Trott’s primary opponent also reported only 37 individual donors for that period of six months. Reports for all candidates are due to the Federal Election Commission on October 15.
